We better get this site moving!

Ok guys, we need to get email address for our old classmates. I'll keep an eye out when I am home for them. If you have an email address, send it to me! Maybe I will have to call everyones parents. Most of them are still around.

Tami's Youngest turns 1

This is my youngest baby, Stephanie. She just turned 1 on Sept 2. So far none of my kids have had to have a trip to the emergency room. But she's come the closest. You can't really see the scrapes and scratches on her pretty little face, but they came from a close encounter with the driveway.

And to show off my artistic talent at her birthday party - I made a "cow" cake. Jealous? Yeah, hardly. Did you remember that THS didn't have Home Ec when we were in high school? Here's the proof! Probably should have called Amy and had her do it.

Alek Bartels

This is Michelles middle child, Alek. She has him playing in the bars already! He is performing at Dewitt. He has been playing electric guitar since 4th grade. He is now in 7th grade at Beatrice Middle School. He also plays saxaphone in band, harmonica at home and piano (by ear). He got into Delegation this year at school (hard to get into as your judged amongst 100 kids, few get in- dance group) He is on bowling league, sat. am's and 2nd game found out already "what a turkey is". He was nominated from teachers last year with Life Long Learner Award (a very high honor from school!) out of 180 kids in his grade one boy, one girl was chosen. He recently just got asked from Guidence Counselor to take ACT already and get tested for Duke University Gifted and Talented program...so we are also very proud of this kid! He will be moved up this year into the Higher Ability Group at school, to be more challenged. (I just know he got his looks and talent and smarts definitly from ME) :) sorry for the kids not in order on this website, I was having technical issues again.....and didn't want to bother netter again....anyway, as I promised her...I did my part, now we can pass the stick and now you have to "get er done"! Good Luck and Have Fun Class Mates!

kelley bartels

This is michelles valentine baby (feb. 14th)! She is already 16, and here just got her license! She attends Beatrice High School and is a junior now (hard for me to believe!) She has always worked on school hard, achieving honor roll all 4 quarters, every year and getting ready to take ACT here in Oct., she is so college bound already...we can hardly wait as she is thinking CPA . She is a great kid with a bright future ahead! She keeps busy working weekends, spanish club and key club.

Brandon Bartels

This is Michelles youngest boy Brandon -10. He is in 5th grade at St. Paul Lutheran School. He plays on baseball team in the summers, soccer in fall, plays trumpet in band. He is 2nd in lead for "heartland racing-motocross" in his division. He races March-Oct on 3 tracks in Neb. doing very well! Plays basketball etc..stays busy...does well in school (last report card- straight A's ... so like mom) :)

we still have fun!

I just wanted to add this one in to quick thank netter for all the years of "keeping us together, tight knit" like she has! She has truly worked hard to keep Shari, Amy, Tami, myself and her together ALL THESE YEARS-she has been a blessing to us all! Thanks Netter, We Love Ya!

Michelle (Paden) Bartels

I decided to post one of our latest together, after17 years of marriage- "we're still hav'in fun!" This was taken at sturgis-our first time and hopefully not our last it was so much fun! Scott and I have three children together: Kelley-16, Alek-12 and Brandon-10. Scott has been employed at Neapco since "my THS days" he is a supervisor on day shift (long time 'ey) and I am a nurse part-time, also I fill in as substitute school teacher for Beatrice Public Schools, doing K-12 on call (challenging at times) and also I fill in as School Nurse at Middle and High school here in Beatrice. In my spare time I run with three kids EVERYWHERE, as they are super busy! Contact me anytime at mlbartels@yahoo.com. I hope we can ALL get this site up and going, and make goal to all get together here soon w/ families! Look forward to reading about the rest of this great class soon!

Amy (Foe) Bender

This is my one and only son Cody William age 5, almost 6 on October 13 doing one of his favorite past times, fishing. He is better than me too, imagine that, LOL!

I live in Gresham, NE, now, very small town of about 270 about 18 miles NW of Seward, NE. I work for BryanLGH Medical Center East of Lincoln, NE. I am a medical transcriptionist and have been working out of my home for 7 years now and have been with BryanLGH for 8 years.

My husband Bill and I have been married for 13 years now. He works into York, NE, which is only about 18 miles from Gresham at Epworth Village as a Life Skills Trainer working with foster kids and troubled youth. Very good at that job too, has been working with foster kids now for about 6 years. He is Mr. Patience, let me tell you, has to be to put up with Cody and I, LOL!

Have we really been out of high school for 17 years, almost 20 years, does not seem possible! Get in touch with me if want to and will chat. Foe out!

Tami Koehler (now Russell)

I just moved back to Nebraska this summer after over 12 years of living in Texas. We will be staying in the country by Tobias for at least a year.

I've been married to John for over 8 years. He's just started his own business on 'O' Street in Lincoln - Futopia. We have 3 kids: Hayden is almost 7, Meredith is 3, and Stephanie will be 1 in just over a week. (I tried to upload a picture but that hasn't been working for me for some reason. Heck, it took 2 days just to get signed into this!) Currently, I am a stay at home mom, desparately looking for a job. I've been working constantly since I was 18 and I'm getting antsy to get back to the rat race. My 35th birthday was on the 12th. I'm putting that in since I'm still one of the youngest in our class. I believe just Heather and Greg are younger?

Since I've moved back, I've seen Cathie, Annette, Amy, and Michelle. I actually saw Jeanene at the fair but didn't catch up to talk to her.

Reconnecting

In 2009 the Tecumseh (NE) Public High School class of 1989 will be celebrating their 20th class reunion. With a small class, such as ours....29 students....it would be nice to have a large turn out. Michelle (Paden) Bartels and I were chatting and decided that we needed a class website to help reconnect us. This will be a place for us to catch up, post contact information and reminisce about the good old days. I'll start the site out by adding my contact information.

I will add a full class list and some fun old pictures. Give me some time and I will dig stuff out. I encourage you to do the same thing.

I have emailed a few people a site invitation. If you have email addresses for additional people, please email them to me so I can add them to the site. If you have problems posting, let me know and I will try to help you. If you do not have a way to post, you can always send me your pictures via snail mail along with the text that you want to add. I will scan them and add it to the posting.
